Dynamics 365 Apps for Office 365 and Desktop Outlook

There are many reasons that I love the Microsoft Apps but one is the integration that Microsoft makes it easier for the apps to integrate with different platforms and its own apps. Here, in this post, I will show you that how can we integrate Outlook with MS Dynamics 365. In this way, I will add activity from the outlook to the MS Dynamics 365 CRM. And you will learn that how can we integrate MS Dynamics 365 with outlook.

Let’s get started. Go to settings and then advance settings.

Click the settings gear icon >> Apps for Dynamics 365

Now, you will see the following screen. Here you can easily see the links to the apps for android, iPhone, and windows. Here, links for the apps for tablets are also provided. If you see the error message as you can see in the picture below. “Your account’s email settings aren’t configured to use this app.” Then, No worries. Here you can find that how can we integrate outlook with dynamics 365.

After the integration, you will see the following button Microsoft Dynamics 365 App for Outlook

Click the button Microsoft Dynamics 365 App for Outlook

After clicking the button, you will see We’re adding the app in the background

Now you will be able to see the Dynamics 365 Add-in in Outlook, as shown below in the picture

Click the Dynamics 365 add-in. Then it will authenticate

 

After authentication, it will show the plus (+) button. From where we can quickly add the contact or account. Even we can add a case, lead, opportunity, and some other useful options as well.

Here we can set regarding enable the tracking functionality.

I have added the adventure works account regarding tracking the activities. 

Now, I will add a task to track.

Here I will fill in the required info for the task to create it.

A new task in the Dynamics 365 has been created.

So, we have added Dynamics 365 to outlook and now we can create tasks and other activities directly from the outlook.
