How to write console application for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

In this blog, I will be introducing how to write console applications for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. This is a relatively new technology that is gaining popularity in the market and will become more and more useful in the future.

Steps to Follow:

  • Visual Studio is a free tool that can be used to create new projects. You can select Console Application from the New Project screen in Visual Studio. Your project should be named appropriately. With Visual Studio new project, Microsoft makes it easier for you to start developing a console application. As compared to Microsoft’s previous IDE, this is an open-source software that works on Windows 10 only.
  • This is a free and open source project that allows you to design your own applications using Visual Studio Code (VSC), but without having to learn the programming language C#.
  • Reference manager is a tool that allows you to add references and other information in your project.
  • There is a very simple application for adding your references. It allows you to right click on any reference and add it to the document. You can even hide or show the reference. The SDK Bin contains the reference to the most important sources of content in the bin.
  • Microsoft.Xrm.Tooling.Connector is a free code generator that can be used to create code for your Windows Store app or Windows Store application in C#, Visual Basic .NET, C++, and Mono. It has an intuitive interface that enables you to create classes and even modules that are fully automated with support for automated unit testing, automatic dependency resolution, and code analysis.

Please paste the following code after you have done this. The logic is programmed so that it will only update records within a given timeframe given by the user when it is run using systems:

  • You will be able to run the console application on any device and do a live demo when the code is ready to build the solution and the console application is ready.
  • Getting the connection string is not a difficult task. But changing the existing connection string to yours can prove to be a big challenge for you.
